Microphone Trouble

I have installed Win98 just 2 days back after a complete format of my Hard
Disk. I have installed all necessary softwares and Hardware Drivers. But
now my microphone is not working. I do not know what the problem is.
Previously it was working fine. I have checked all the Volume Control
Options. I have checked the Sound Drivers. I have 2 mics and both are in
working condition so there is no chance that the fault lies with them. What
do I do?

Check the Advanced Properties of your Volume and consider reinstalling your sound card drivers
