I wouldn't rule out Shareaza - it can do both eDonkey and Bittorrent - the two networks I can find pretty much any program I need on. Also, you can always check out IRC - there's always a lot of stuff there

    "limewire, shareaza, imesh or morpheus"

Imo i all these p2ps are only good if you want a few 128-192bitrate mp3s

If you want new (pro)programs on the day their released or a few after nothing beats Bittorrent(maybe news groups n stuff but i wouldnt know) but for best speed and a range of new and old programs edonkey wins hands down.
    Rest in peace mother

Actually I find shareaza great with bittorrent downloads and ed2k's as well! IMHO of course!

The best P2P file sharing clients for programs:

    eDonkey2K Network - eMule, eDonkey2000 v1.1, Shareaza (Just download from eDonkey 2K).

    BitTorrent- BitComet, BitTornado, Azureus, BitLord.

P2P clients not to use for programs- Any FastTrack client (Any Kazaa, iMesh, Grokster) will have viruses for any (.exe) extentions.

Some Gnutella clients- (LimeWire, Shareaza, BearShare) may also have viruses for (.exe) extentions.

It is always possible to download a virus from any P2P file sharing client when downloading any files with the (.exe) and (.msi) extentions. Be carefull.

    Thank You. :gj

Emule is the program to find just about all the files you want. Waiting in queues is another subject.

Does anyone know how to fix the problems with the failed downloads from Gnutella on iMesh? or Is iMesh getting blocked by the other Gnutella clients?

I tried the iMesh Forum and they are trying to say it is because of fake files, but I can download the same files on LimeWire with no problems.

    ThankYou

iMesh is now a paid-only download service, all copyrighted files from Gnutella are blocked.

Unless you want to use a paid service, you should not use iMesh anymore. Also BearShare was bought by iMesh and it is now a paid only service that also blocks copyrighted files from Gnutella. Morpheus is also now a paid service that blocks copyrighted Gnutella files.

    The only good Gnutella clients that are left are;

Limewire, Frostwire, Shareaza, KCeasy, Cabos, Gnucleus, Filepipe and Trusty Files.
Old versions of BearShareLite and Morpheus.

Limewire was also suppost to filter out copyrighted files but so far it hasn't. But if it does
there's still Frostwire to take its place.

    Thanks.:icon_thum
