    EXEEM and spyware

Ok, does Exeem Lite have no spyware/adware at all. Futhermore, does it have any exactly the same functionality?

Also, in general, how is everyone finding EXEEM. There was a lot of hype and then it just seemed to die!

    Thanks in advance

    i'm waiting for http://developer.berlios.de/projects/anatomic/

oh sh!t, the wait is over, there's a beta for windows

EDIT: it's only a command line version, not ready for prime time.
hopefully this will be what exeem should have been

EDIT2: i used exeem for about 2 weeks seeding massive files, i had to upload to a 2:1 ratio before it would start to swarm, and the seeder would drop off as soon as they had 100%
exeem would remove torrents, not load torrents, and if two different people were seeding the same file, but different torrents they wouldn't swarm, ie if one needed seeders and another one had plenty they wouldn't combine. plus the ads, and spyware sucked.

EDIT3 i think exeem lite is based on exeem 2.1

things might have been different if the makers of eXhancer would have gone public

EDIT4: exeem lite is made by lesrez, who i trust about as much as swarm inc.

From what I understand, it should work the same and have the same functionability.

The reason for it dying out, though, is that it really doesn't live up to the hype. From what I've read, it claims it's a decentralized network - it's not. It claims it's built on Bittorrent technology - it can't be (either that or they're violating the GNU license b/c exeem isn't open source). Also, they included spyware in it at first - the guaranteed way to drive away file sharers.

Honestly, I can't really say how good / bad exeem is - I played with it for about 2 minutes and got bored and quit. I'm guessing that's what happened to most people.
