BitTorrent ...SLOW... (Ive read the sticky)

Im using the YABC client on 1mb cable broadband on XP SP2 and whatever I do my download speed always seems to stay lower than 10kb/s. Which is very slow considering i am on 1 mb broadband and I'm downloading a 700mb file, so its gonna take around 14hours to download and thats with 20 % done. :(

Ive set all the port settings for YABC, Ive set the port exceptions for windows firewall, and I've set up my router ( US Robotics 8000 is the model ). But it still downloads v. slow and the text in YABC is yellow. What else do I need to do?

Check out the Event Log (Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer). Are there any entries with ID 4226?

Those original errors will remain in the event log unless you clear it. I'd be concerned if there were more errors after the time you made the switch to 100 connections.

So...do these torrents have healthy amounts of seeders?

    Of course it is.
