Question How can I resume a torrent from BitComet in Azureus?

I recently decided to give BitComet a try and easily resumed some torrents I was downloading in Azureus with BitComet without any problem. For some reason, after about an hour running BitComet, my internet connection slows to a crawl until I reboot my modem, so finishing the torrents with it (Which still have a day or two left) would suck. I decided to stick with Azureus, and attempted to re-resume my files from BitComet, but I am getting "data file length is too large" errors in Azureus with those files. Is there a reason I can resume a torrent from Azureus in BC but not the other way around? Is there anyway to make the partially downloaded data for the torrent compatible in Azureus again? Any help is appriciated, thanks.

Attached is a picture of the kind of error I get in Azureus after trying to resume a torrent from BitComet

Im not exactly sure your about your issue, but I myself use ABC client, and I have no problems with DLing or ULing along with resuming torrents Ive paused or put on hold.

Whatever your problem is, I suggest trying ABC and see what happens.

Also, do you have a firewall or router? both of these can very much slow down the speeds of DL/ULing, if so turn them off, or route them though the right ports when using your client.

My problem is I want to open and resume a torrent in Azureus which I had previously been downloading in BitComet. I can resume torrents from Azureus in BitComet but I cannot seem to resume torrents from BitComet in Azureus. The torrent in question is pretty big, and is almost half completed, so I'd like to avoid starting it from scratch.

Usually you would just open the same torrent up with Azureus and point it to the download path of the file you had started with another client. If that is what you have done and you still get the error message I would check out the Azureus website and see if anyone alse has had the problem and see if they have found a way to fix it.

You can also try and redownload the .torrent file from the tracker again...BitComet may have entered extra resume code into it and that may be interfering with Azureus reading the .torrent file properly (thus bad file check)
Or BitComet may have altered an actual data file and placed cached pieces (?)
Check what file Azureus says the data file-length is too large...then you can probably take that out and do a C&P switcheroo..I had to do that once, wasn't too bad.

i thnk i know the problem but not the solution.

both bitlord and bitcomet create files wth extension .bc, which is the incomplete file used by bitcomet. even i was thnking, no other bittorrent client(as far as i know) used its own extensions for incompelete files.
i also read on one tracker site that they have blocked bitcomet users and they had a link to read as to why, but i didnt read why.

    I have the same prob..
tried removing the .bc extension but it still gives the same error.
its probably a problem with bitcomet and not azureus.
