    Large torrent files

Whenever I try to download any file over 400mb it will stop after 10-15 minutes, there's no error message. In the advanced details windown it is blank. i pause it and resume but it will not continue. Only way it will restart is to close and open the program again, but the file will again stop. I've tried several torrent programs and it happens on them all.

most likely because the torrent you are downloading, doesn't have many, if any, seeders, that are allowing you to leech off their file...
People standin on top of the white house, there's people standin up on capital hill...
They stand up there, sound like they know something...
They all still wake up in the morning, drink a cup of coffee and take a shit, they aint better than I am.
And they dance around a problem... say this... talk about the eco-nomic imp-li-cations...

But their grandfather, great great grandfather, was just like my great great grandfather, just a bunch of monkeys swingin up in trees shittin in the woods.

Seeds are not the problem. The download is going great and it just stops. When I restart the torrent program it picks up fine but only to stop again 10 min's later. Any file under 400 will go through w/o a problem.

You are uploading too right? If you do not upload you will stop getting any connections.

If you're using Zone Alarm, uninstall it and switch to SygatePF or TinyPF.

I think Betamx hit the problem right on the head. I had the same problem when I first started using Bit shrortly after it came out. Once i nix'd the zone alarm, I had no more stopped downloads.

My first thought is do you have the disk space? If you fill up 400MB each time and that's all the disk space you had left then of course you won't be able to download anymore.

That was just a first thought. (And I think that happened to me before)

I've tried bitornado, abc, bitlord and azureus they all do the same. I've got a 40gb hard drive with 30gb free. I'll try another firewall and see what happens.
