Questions about downloading from usenet

I haven't checked out usenet groups in a long time. I used to have a webtv (go ahead and laugh) and we had access to the groups by default. However webtv didn't have a harddrive (go ahead and laugh again) so I wasn't able to download anything at the time. So my two questions are.. Do you all know of any very good tutorials that go very in depth about downloading from usnet, and what are the best programs to find and download files from usenet?

Grabit is a good free easy to learn program

Newleecher and Newsbin are 2 very good newsleechers but they cost *cough*
Google will find them for you.

Thanks for the links to the guides. They were very informative and easy to understand. Thanks for the link to grabit as well. I heard about grabit a while back, but I had forgotten about it.
