    i'd say aobut 176343890 to 2

    ...look at the ewok!
People standin on top of the white house, there's people standin up on capital hill...
They stand up there, sound like they know something...
They all still wake up in the morning, drink a cup of coffee and take a shit, they aint better than I am.
And they dance around a problem... say this... talk about the eco-nomic imp-li-cations...

But their grandfather, great great grandfather, was just like my great great grandfather, just a bunch of monkeys swingin up in trees shittin in the woods.

Depends - are you dling material that they own the copyright too? If not, you're fine. If you are, well, there's always a chance, but first of all, look at all the file sharers (millions) and the number sued (still under 1,000, i believe). Also, those who are sued tend to be on Fasttrack (Kazaa's network) and sharing 1,000s of files. I mean, don't get me wrong, there's always a risk - but, I personally don't view it as that big of risk

Not likely I would have thought but....

If you worried get an ip blocker and keep it up-to-date.

Theres no guarantee that it'll work but it reduces that chances of being caught.
Emule has an ip blocker built into it but you have to download a black list for it.

This some of the lists on the link above blocks local network connections.
But if you just apply it to emule that won't really matter.

I dont have BT, but I imagine you'll need a seperate ip blocker such as ProtoWall or PeerGuardian.

Well, it depends on the bittorrent app you use - for Azureus, there's a plugin called SafePeer - it automatically downloads blacklists of the Internet - or you can apply your own (which I usually do). Otherwise, you'll have to go with a separate ip blocker - PG2 gets my vote, mostly because I've had problems with protowall not working correctly (I've messed up multiple machines with it).

Yeah ProtoWall is a really Nightmare to install.
It never goes smoothly for me.
    But it's worth the effort

However it runs at driver level and is less resource greedy than PG (not tried PG2).

NEWSTUFF is heavily monitored on any open torrent sites. Music is fine, I havent heard anyone being sued for uploading on bit torrent mainly cause there sharing a indivdiual folder or torrent.. And to research all the torrents they have open would be a long journey. MPAA will gladly send out cease and desist letters before any lawsuits take place. There job isnt to win piracy, but mainly make money off it. They know they cant win.
