A shitload! I'm not sure of how many, it all depends. Enough that you can put it in the DVD player today and tomorrow it will still be playing. I'm not sure Ive ever filled a DVD completley up with music. Itt is a great thing to do though. I tell my friends to do it all the time because it doesnt cross most peoples mind that their MP3 playing DVD/CD player will play a DVD filled with MP3's. Best answer, a shitload

...can't you just do some simple math to figure that out?

    1) Find average album size in desired format.
    2) Divide media capacity by average size.
    How's about them apples?

Depends on what music genre you use.. POP will consist of 50-75 megs. As well as some rock and punk. ELECTRONIC can be 120 megs since most encode with higher byte rate and it goes the full 80 minutes. So far David bowie collection fits nicely on 3 gig dvd =) I usually put music on the dvd that i dont listen to as much. MOSTLY XBOX games and movies for my dvds.

I don't have a fancy DVD player yet. My stand alone is from the 90's, and I'm using my PS2 to play backups.

Though I do listen to MP3 CDs in my Sega Dreamcast.

There's no school like the old school.
(and sometimes I play audio CDs in the Sega Saturn just to see the shuttle fly around)

You can fit about 50 albums on a dvdr.
I just replaced my saturn last month,I missed the space shuttle screensaver that it has.I wish they had put a similar screensaver on the dreamcast.

If each album is 45 minutes to 1 hour each that is around 300 HOURS on a single disc!
I have problems navigating mp3'ed CDR's for the right album! (Lp's were 22 minutes each side, that is why many older CD's are about 40 minutes of content.)

    Technology is amazing.
Is it not a feat sublime? Intellect hath conquered time.
