I'm guessing when you say Vodie you mean Video? Like, you need a certain Video codec... No video codecs aren't MPAA backdoors. If you don't have defilerpak installed, google it and install it.

I downloaded an avi file. Its 707 MB and it tells me to download the vodei codec to play it. I did all that and everything else that was recommended on the vodei website. But the movie still doesn't play. Could you help me out here?
Did you also download the ffdShow as required?

Yeah. I did all that. I'd even uninstalled all my previous codecs, then reinstalled ffdshow, and then reinstalled the vodei codec. It still gives the same message. Is there any other solution? Am I missing anything else over here?
