... program to simply make a printout of a windows directory tree?
Normally I quickly check my two mp3 hard drives to see if I have a particular album already before I download something... but I'm backing up both drives to DVD to make room for a bunch of DV footage.
I just need a hard copy.. nothing too fancy.
I always wanted like an excel sheet export too.... It's be nice to have it all in one .xls sheet with all the details, size, bitrate, length....
I bet somebody could whip up a script....:)
Ants Movie Catalouge works like a charm...
If you havent heard you could also use the print screen function...
Finally if you want it done with just the files on your hard drive you could use OMEN serv for IRC to generate a full listing of your MP3's like cake and it will say the directory as well....
This is how it will look...
================================================== ======================
G:\MUSIC & MUSIC VIDZ\Full MP3 CDS\2Pac - Makaveli The Don Killuminati\
================================================== ======================
!infringer 2Pac_-_Makaveli_The_Don_Killuminati_01_Bomb_First
It will even create a seperate Movies.txt that will look like this...
===========
H:\MOVIES\
===========
!infringer 2001 A Space Odyssey -INFRINGER- DivX 649MB.avi ::INFO:: 664.92Mb
Note: None of these files listed are actually real there just used to demonstrate how the listing would look. Pfffffft lmao.

Print screen would be impractical.
I tried Ant Movie Catalog... isn't the app for the job.
Do you have any more info about OMEN serv? Do I use it from within Mirc? What is it? How? Where?
Thanks.
There's gotta be a way to make a quick .csv of the directory and details... that OMEN script looks closer, but no commas :)
From a command prompt...
tree C:
or
tree /f C: (to show files)

There are DOS commands that can do that, and create a text file (do not ask me the details anymore, it's been years) via the "command prompt".
One program that I recall that will do this, is called "MaxLister". Try google or p2p apps for it. There is another app I used to use a few years ago for this purpose, but hell if I can recall the name right now.
Also, try looking at these links;

Again, try Google, just be intelligent about the search, then slowly narrow it down.
Ahhh, yes. Thanks, CPU. I'll just use mark and copy, then kick it out to notepad.

To clarify, "> files.txt" takes the output of tree C: and puts it in files.txt

Damn, I'd swear I was in an on-line chatroom right about now......
Why is that, GeneralLee? Is it because your pants are around your ankles and you're covered in lotion?
Thanks for the help, everyone. I appreciate it. I've got the hard copies going and I'm soon to be spending the night burning DVDs.
