    P2P Progs. stop my internet

basically when I run any of LimeWire, Kazaa, Overnet, Shareaza etc. my ability to browse the web stops, as the browser will return a 'page not found' type error as if it is not connected, whilst MSN messenger still works fine.

I cannot access the router either, so that must eman it seems to diable my network connection as such. No data is actually transferred over the NIC.

The P2P programs will not download either, we sometimes do but at trickle speeds, although ic an search fast.

Running windows XP sp2 on a wireless card with a netgear DG834M Router.

cheers for any insight into the problem.

I have the same issue. However, I did notice that IANA is listed in Protowall. The particular IANA ip I'm talkin about start with 192.168... which happens to be the private addy of my network. I have to remove those ips from the file. I only say this because you probably only start Protowall or PG while U'R downloading. Another thing I noticed is that my router freezes up if I try and open to many connections with Azureus. Microsift piece of sh@t!!

I dont use protowall or any IP blockers yet, until I can get it working... my LAN IP's are 10.0.0.* anyways.

I did notice that Limewire works on my dialup connection tho.
