Blubster vs WinMX
I have been wondering about Blubster. Even though I've never used it. I have been a fan of WinMX for a long time!
But now WinMX is slow and hard to get songs. I've been reading a lot about Blubster, I really want to know from the users what the difference is and if it's better than WinMX!:wings

Blubster vs Winmx
I have used both.. Blubster is growing in size as far as users but cannot compete with Winmx with the number of users.. I do find a good selection of files, out of this world speeds, and a very simple to use program.
Shop around try them all till you find something "YOU "like.. :mellow

well, since i hate the new version 3.3, i have been looking around for some new apps.
i've tried imesh, audiognome and hated them both.
i here the new kazaa lite is a lot like morpheus and i hated it too.
but i've seen some screenshots of blubster and i like the looks of it.
similar to that of winmx.
and u r right. it has some amazing speeds.
as for the search results, i don't know. i haven't tried it yet.
but it's my next go.
i hope i like it, cause i'm running out of apps to try.
i'm wondering about adware/spyware, though with blubster.

Didn't notice any, use adware to remove if you have any trouble..
You can DL from many sites, (Lavasoft) is what I used and for updates also....
Did notice a big drain on system resources though. Crashes if you try to run too many appl. besides Blubster ???????????
I'm no computer wize so can't help you on that. Could be my system? Or other matters.. Any suggestions ??
Good luck, hope you find something that works for you :tilted

Use WinMx - more files , more users , more features, less computer resources... need more?

blubster is nice... winmx is ok. winmx has serious issues with queues... and if you are looking for rare mp3s, you might never find them on winmx... blubster is betta!!

You obviously don't understand the importance of queues. What if there were no queues on WinMX? It would be like downloading from gnutella. You try to start a download and yuo get an error message user not available. WinMX is working on the queue function to make it better and get rid of the long queues.
A queue just so you know is a line. If it says you are #43 that means that 43 people are ahead of you. So if your this far back in line its a good idea to ask the person to start your download, or trade.

WinMx et al
I've been using WinMx for quite some time and must say that I've got almost anything I wanted (and I don't listen to a lot of mainstream pop music) at good speed. I've also found Soulseek to be quite good as well for those seeking alternatives :)

I agree with Bluester about Soulseek. You can find a lot of files especially the rare stuff. ( I found THIEVERY CORPORATION 1 month before the release date!)
