    defeating drm1 on wma files

I got an album yesterday and ripped it to wma with wmm8. I accidentaly left the drm copy protection on and now the songs woent play on anything but wmm, which I usualy use for nothing. The drm is the old drm1. I've found a program that removes drm2 from a file, but not drm1. Anyone know a way I can remove drm1 or convert the file to a different format like .mp3 or .ogg and bypass the protection? I tried using dbpower amp but it had "file protected" error, due to the drm. Playing the music in wmm and recording it would incure a big loss of quality, so its not something I want to do. I would rip the album again without drm but the cd is now with a cousin who I woent see for at least 2 weeks :(

    Virtuosa

Try a program called virtuosa, it can read the DRM files and export as any type file you want. Go to http://www.virtuosa.com

Virtuosa works quite nicely bout 600 or better conversions from the format of your choice to mp3 I use it as my encoder for MP3 encoding. Word is that it does not recognize or take into account if the file is DRM protected or not. Woops musta been a mistake on virtuosa's part.
