Korn founding guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch has officially left the Sony rap-metal quintet, says the band's web site.
A statement says:
"Korn has parted ways with guitarist Brian Head Welch, who has chosen the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, and will be dedicating his musical pursuits to that end. Korn respects Brian's wishes and hopes he finds the happiness he is searching for. Jonathan, Fieldy, James and David are personally closer than ever, and are currently in the studios working on their 8th record, the follow up to their highly successful Greatest Hits album. The record is due to be released this coming September.”
“Rumors had been circulating for weeks that Welch was unhappy with the direction of the band and had written a letter of resignation on February 8, according to MTV.com,” says Y!Music, going on:
“Welch allegedly listed a number of reasons for his departure, including ‘moral objections’ to the band's music and videos.”
Last March, Y'All Want a Single had Korn rampaging through an LA record store, making a video which included banners reading, One corporation owns the 5 major video channels in the US and 98% of the bands signed to a major don't make a profit and Two radio conglomerates control 42% of listeners. And more

It's cool that he left that crappy band... though I can't say his reasoning is practical or even based on reality.
That's ok. Jesus just left Chicago...
Maybe the Holy Spirit will infuse him with some decent musical direction and inspiration.

korn is not a bad band and as for jesus whats he released lately
korn is a horribal band , listen to the lyrics they sound like a 4 year old wrote them , they play the same cords over and over and over -- somone should kill that entire band
Green Jello had better lyrics ( yes I meant to say green jello cause that was the orignal name of the band , they was forced to chage the name to green jelly ) atleast they were funny and the music sounds ok .

Korn isn't horrible. They are not the best, but they are far from horrible. Davis has far more meaningful and emotional lyrics than half the bands out there. You can like Korn and whatever else is out there too. It's called Diversity. Find it.
And Green Jelly (yes, I meant to say that) does not have better lyrics. Next thing you know, people will be saying Weird Al is better than Korn. Irregardless of Green Jelly's origins, all Green Jello did was spawn a video album, until General Foods got on their ass. After that was where the majority of the albums (and the lyrics) came from. About the only thing that ever came out of GJ that was good was Keenan and Carey from Tool, a rare opportunity considering the 75+ members that have went in and out of the band.
Jesus getting Head is far better than getting Munky

I think Korn would make a great opening act for Hole.
Damn...that sucks. Head left because he decided to become a sheep...very sad. Korn was a great band during the 90's. It will be hard to find a replacement, if there is one.
The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.
I hear Buckethead is available.

I like Korn's sound.
When you come to an understanding of who Jesus was and what he did sometimes you have to leave things you love behind. Some of you won't understand what I just said, that's fine.
