Given a choice between the two computers, which one would you get? I really like the Acer better, but the processor is a Centrino 1.6 GHz compared to the Pentium 4 2.8 GHz.
I've read some comparisons that say the 1.6 GHz Centrino compares favorably in terms of performance, but I've read just as many that say that's BS.
What do you think?

What's going to be it's main purpose?
Downloading much of anything? Get the 80GB (Acer)
Game Crazy? Get the 2.8Ghz (P3 Direct)
Burning DVDs? Get the Acer.

I like the Acer because of the 80Gb, but i'm not sure about the M Processor..
- only 1 PCI slot (if you need them
- XP Pro
I like the P3 Direct because of the Pentium 4 2.8GHz but i don't like the 40 Gb...
- 2 PCI slots (bueno if you need them
- floppy, can be useful in a jam, depending on a few things
I don't know, i guess i'd go Acer. more space, i'm sure the Pentium M processor is alright, it's got Pro, and the floppy will probably never be needed. and besides you'll have firewire, a combo drive, and a flash card reader.
People standin on top of the white house, there's people standin up on capital hill...
They stand up there, sound like they know something...
They all still wake up in the morning, drink a cup of coffee and take a shit, they aint better than I am.
And they dance around a problem... say this... talk about the eco-nomic imp-li-cations...
But their grandfather, great great grandfather, was just like my great great grandfather, just a bunch of monkeys swingin up in trees shittin in the woods.
