    playing midi files with lyrics

I'm trying to get some midi files with embedded lyrics to play with visual lyrics but I can't figure out how. Could anyone tell me where to find a player that can do this, like karaoke style? It needs to be freeware. Thank you.

    Winamp displays lyrics in midi's
it will do it with mp3's as well with the lyricshead plugin (if avalable)

I got winamp and played a midi. It's actually a nicer media player than I expected, but I can't figure out how to get the midis to play with lyrics.

could you please tell me how? :D

    The midi begins with:
    *%Angels We Have~3[ Heard On High\\Ang=els we have heard on high,\Sweet=ly sing=ing o'er the plains,\And the moun=tains in rep=ly\Ech=o back their joy=ous strains.\@(@g(Glo=~4_=_=~4_=_=~4_=_=ri=a in ex=cel=sis D@g)e=o,\@)@a(@g1][e][o.\\@a)Shep=herd, why this jub=i=lee?\Why your joy=ous strains pro=long?\Say what may the tid=ings be,\Which in=spire your heav'n=ly song?\@1@a1Come to Beth=le=hem and see\Him whose birth the ang=els sing;\Come a=dore, on bend=ed knee,\Christ, the Lord, the new-born king.\@1@a1*%The[ End\*Copr.Pcopr. 1988
so I'm assuming that that is an instance of lyrics embedded in a midi ... I just can't figure out how to play them and have them display.

in winamp press Ctrl-P then go to plugins>input>midi and hit the configure button, then under the display tab make sure you have "show lyrics window while playing" enabled

you may need to reload your midi for the changes to take effect
