ok so my friend stole my password for my e-mail account and my msn passport. Im guessing he did it in some relation to msn messenger. I looking for someone to shed some light on the situation. Suggestions as to what I can do now and what he may have done.

I did that, back in now. With a new and improved 20 character password of random numbers and letters. Now Im still curious to know how he did it, so I can prevent future invasions. Im also looking at potential revenge tactics, I now a fair bit about pc's and I dont think this crime should go un punished. lol
friend? more like jackass...
Why is Charlie considered short for Charles, if they consist of the same amount of letters...
haha ya no kidding. I think he did it to proove a point or something, either way I am not to happy even though he didnt actually do any damageOriginally Posted by AikonPrime

How's about them apples?
does anyone know how I can change my secret question
it need some suggestions for making sure this doesnt happen again
does not really sound like a friend to me dude,, inless it was some kinda joke between really good friends , I suggest better freinds ....
ya but I really need to know how to stop future break ins
I could tell you how he did it.. There are programs that are going around that can retrive passwords or break them. And then there are keyloggers.. Maybe a friendly attachment with a keylogger trojan of some sort.
When two computer are on the same subnet, as for gaming etc, all traffic can be sniffed. Hotmail log-in info on the web is initially sent in plain txt. Therefore, I can packet sniff all trafic that crosses my pc, and then read any plain txt such as the login, and pwd, which in a former room mate situation, he used his gf name.
If you use Outlook Express to check your email, that traffic too can be sniffed and read.
ps: Hi Rebirth . . . . stop lurking :D

It is most likely that he used spoofing to get your password. I would go into more details, but the less information that is out there the better off everbody is.
jaded by your desire, you were so pure
lived to please, always a beautiful smile
look into my eyes, imagine peace, happy
warm touch, we are drowning together
perhaps but I havent accepted anything from him or anything like that lately, I dont use outlook so im safe there. It kind of worries me what he could have on my pc and such. What can I do to semi-protect myself
if there is anything you would rather not post e-mail me blackmagiic(at)gmail.com or PM me
KRELL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
When did you come back?
