I slapped together a bunch of my spare computer parts to make a 2nd PC, and have a few shared folders between them.
I'm behind a router (which is also what connects the two PCs) and have the XP firewall enabled on both computers.
Is there a way to disable file and printer sharing with THE INTERNET, but not between the two computers?
I'm not much of a networking wiz, as I spend my days practicing kung fu and training for doomsday.
Uh, the router will drop all unrequested connections from the internet to your home LAN.
So, no worries.

the router should stop it unless you have one of the computers in the DMZ, or have explicitly forwarded the ports for MS File/Print sharing to one of the computers...
alternatively, you can use the SP2 firewall to only allow File/Print sharing to occur on the local subnet.

Okay. Sweet. I don't DMZ my boxes, and those ports aren't forwarded.
Thanks, guys.
