i'm a JWU student in rhode island and am having problems getting any of the various p2p programs to connect and on the rare occasion they do connect their speeds are sub stone age any suggestions???????
try changing the ports that might help
if it don't get ares or use mirc for downloads
thats the best u can do
I heard of university students making a cd-r trading ground.. They ripp alot of their songs on their hard drives and burn them to dvd or cd-r and trade them among students and there is a program thats out there i believe. IT shares within the lan.. Connect to anyone on your LAN network and trade within them.
mirc is working great
if changing ports on other p2p apps doesn't help you, you won't be able to get around it.
there are many very effective firewalls in use at many universities.
