blacklisted on edonkey

ERROR : Connection refused. Your IP is currently blacklisted.

i just got this from edonkey im on ntl internet and thought it was abit strange iv never had it before why would they blacklist a non static ip?

trying to connect too many time in a short period, connecting then not being there when it replied (in eMule having safe connect disabled, shareaza trys to connect to 2 servers at the same time, but i don't think it gets banned), or they don't like who had your IP before you.
most bans are for only 24 hours or less

if u are on dial up just disconnect from net, reconnect new ip address no problem.
if u on dsl, turn modem off for 5 minutes, turn on in 5 minutes, get new ip address everythigns fine.

its ok i can change my ip np its just i thought it was a bit stupid banning a public ip.

Congratulations on being the first person to be blacklisted. You must have been quite the infringer if you will. Life would be easier if you could blacklist all the users that send you bad data and fake hashes.

Definately a first I have never heard of anyone being blacklisted other then like RIAA/MPAA addresses ranges being blacklisted who knows maybe there is a security volnerability if you can blacklist IP ranges and such for the RIAA/MPAA dont see why there wouldnt be a way to exploit something to ban a public IP as well...

that happens to me when i found two edonkey2000.exe in the task manager, running at the same time while the other one locked up.

are you trying to say i share crap or somet.?? for 1 it happened as i opened the program so i hadnt shared anything under that ip and 2 i hate people who share fakes and such as much as anyone else.
