IIts been almost 6 mos.since they were up and running, but look who is back.
TORRENTZ.COM!
For about 4 mos. they have had a site but no torrents just links to othe sites, but that has all changed now it appears.
They came back on just a couple of days ago but there torrents are increasing fast.
According to the news section, their server is based in china and just a little out of reach of the RIAA and MPAA at this time.
Here is the link have at it folks while the fun last, this might be the next Suprnova.
http://www.torrentz.com/
Been back for a while now.. It sucks, people are still allowed to put up 128kbs file, vague file descriptions. No album year. =(
Even if there in China. they can have all the ISP's to block them. Remember what they did to that webserver who was off the shore in china. I couldnt log on to it.
I got two things from there so far and I am pleased with the files ... they weren't fakes.
Always nice to hear defiance in the way of sharing torrents, even if it entails running to a country that is currently out of reach of the influence of the MPAA. I really like what Lokitorrent has done, they stood up to the torment the MPAA has wrought over us all in recent weeks....even if it would appear futile.
"There is no gain....without sacrifice." Quoted by every great leader of this world, if not in words, in thought.
I never said the files were fake. Tori AMos discograhy, byte rate on some albums 128. Various files in different format, some 256 for two songs on the album , rest may be 224, and 160kbs. No description =(
Link does not work.

Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".
Works on my end. Has your IP possibly blocked it.Originally Posted by Wolfie

Yeah they could make the site unaccessable but there is a lot of sites based overseas which host illegal chit which they'd all have to shut down really and there would just be yet another one pop up as far as bit torrent goes I dont forsee this one happening if they are truely overseas like they claim there is no real action that will take place against them.

Didn't Hong Kong make its first piracy bust?.. Im sure if MPAA or RIAA throw money at the government to shut things down, they will do it. Money is so universal.
Might not be in Hong Kong were capitalizm still has some sway, they maybe deep in mainland China. The communist might just love to put it to a couple of capitalist money mongers like the RIAA and the MPAA.Originally Posted by shawners

Maybe Hong Kong New Jersey?
Hrmmm... Well I know one thing pretty much of it is out of the reach of our own authority in many countries things are open for the takking ...
Strange i dunno from what I understand HK is not in any compliance with the current sets of laws enforced here in the US for copywright and such I am sure there may be a pressed case here or there that the RIAA will fork out a hefty sum of cash to catch an individual but that article dont seem right...
Oh well maybe not HK but I coulda swore thats that one of the places where folks go to host files to be out of the jurisdiction of the US and its laws on the internet amongst many others.
