Might be a bit dated in spots, but otherwise it is good to use.

With BitTorrent there are several things you need to make it work.
First the software to download. A day or two I recommended Shareaza to you as a beginner piece of software. It works the same as Kazaa, Grokster, Napster, or Bear Share. You can search for files on Ed2K and download that way. The real power comes out when you access BitTorrent.

To do that you need to download a torrent. There are many sites you can go to to find them. A good search engine for torrents is www.isohunt.com and you put in what you want to search for and it finds the torrent. The torrent is like the internet name of the song or movie called hash marks. You click on the torrent and it will start to download. If the file is no longer available to download it will say no tracker. A tracker is the computer that keeps track of who has the file available to download. Files are not available to download for long, sometimes days, sometimes weeks, but rarely for months.

All Bit Torrent programs work the same, they all have their advantages. I usually send people to Shareaza since the interface is like Kazaa or Grokster and most downloaders came from Fast Track originally. I started with Napster, but it is the same.

Use google to search for torrent sites. Loki Torrents is another good site, and there is an interview on ZeroPaid with Loki. There are hundreds of sites to choose with TV shows, music, sci-fi, and limitless other things. Hope this helps!

Oh yeah, shareaza can be found at www.shareaza.com . Go back to the ZeroPaid home page and at the top there is a list of the new programs, forums, and links. Take your pick.
