Problem encoding video in VirtualDub

I know how to encode video but I am have problem when I try to encode any video codac while using the following audio codac: MP3, MP3 Lame, and WMA compressing. MP3 option works well in EasyX Video Converter but it doesn't know how to handle Xvid and MPEG video. With this program it incode the video upside down but with other codac it works fine.

I have tried this some but not much. People seem to think its better but I had trouble finding some of the features.

I also really like DVDx 2.3 http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=72208 One of the best GUI of any ripping program but will only change MPG to Avi.

For VirtualDub, I only use it for converting XviD to DivX. To convert AVIs to MPEGs, I use TMPGEnc because they have the best MPEG tools around!

Since there are many different encoded AVIs, Codecs & Filters, you have to play with different programs . Look at help menu that comes with the program & read!

But as to my own routine, I like to convert AVIs with VBR or AC3 audio to uncompressed PCM audio first, using AVI Audio Decompressor that came with AVI2VCD.

Then convert XviD to DivX using VirtualDub, as DivX seems to be more compatible with my DivX/XviD DVD Player for smoother playback & stability!

To convert AVIs to MPG2 for making DVDs, I use TMPGEnc Xpress 3.0 for MPG2 video format & Dolby Digital (AC3) audio. Most DVD Players support Dolby Digital! The next step is to convert MPEG video to DVD video files, I use TMPGEnc DVD Author.

VirtualDubMod is not bad but there option in it for audio and the only way I seen myself having the ability to convert video is to first convert it in VirtualDub first with uncompress audio in DIVX at a higher video baud rate then use EasyX Video Converter to finish up compressing the video and audio in the baud rate that I want. There a TV show that I like to get 8 show per cd( 44 minute per show ). This show somehow compresses nicely and it still has a half deason pitcher.

Thanks to all that did respond but I still can't do it in one step.
