it's a file sharing prog which you have to dwnload right? not bittorrent?
is it worth getting involved if i already use bittorrent sites and have soulseek and kazaa lite?
any thoughts would be appreciated.
thx
Yes, its a whole separate file-sharing program, although it does have an implementation of BitTorrent in it as an "added bonus" I guess you could say, although the BT plugin doesn't work nearly as well as a separate BT program.
It's up to you whether you want to get involved in the gnutella/gnutella 2 network, and Shareaza also connects to the edonkey2000 network as well. Good luck in whatever you decide.
My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):
ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer
Also sporting a black MacBook
Revision/Release 1
Upgraded to 2GB RAM.
I use Shareaza, actually right now it's the only program that I use. I thinks it's a good program. The only problem that I find, though I don't think it's the program itself, but some files with download, but after awhile, they will stop and it's takes forever to get new connections to continue the download. If it's setup right, it works great. I get connected up to 6 neighbors all the time!
i use shareaza if i dont find it in bt.. then if i get really desparate i turn on ed2k.. its g1 support is lacking but u can still connect and download from fast limewire dudes.
one of the best p2p apps
