help compiling incomplete temp files (edonkey)

    Hi,

i am downloading a film and a small piece (the last 0.07% of the total file) is unavailable. This should be ok as it will only be a small part of the end credits which are missing but i need to be able to compile the temp files when i have downloaded all i can as edonkey won't do it automatically for me.

I know there is a program out there somewhere which i can use to compile all of the temp files into the finished AVI (minus the missing bit) but i can't seem to find any mention of what it's called or where to download it from.

Does anyone know it and can they help me find it?

A name and/or weblink would be great.

    cheers

I think you could transfer the incomplete files to eMule and let emule do the trick.
Emule uses only one temporary file.

You can find the "Import tool" under Tools-button from eMule.

    Just do this.
If you know which temp file it is, make a copy of this file to a new folder and rename the extension of the movie.
if its a .mpg file just name it movie.mpg
if its .avi file just name it movie.avi

Well I have a similar problem. I downloaded a 440mb file over 56k only for the completing stage to not work (computer froze). I still have all the temp files but my download restarts at random places.

    Can i do anything?

For eMule users, it will automatically create a backup for part.met in part.met.bak. Just copy/rename part.met.bak file to part.met may fix the problem!

Try download eMule, then use the temp files in eMule. eMule may re-hash the part file & look for missing parts!
