    Morpheus is not connecting...

i installed morpheus on a fresh windows and used it succesfully
for about 1 or 2 weeks. After that it seems that morpheus
does not connect so easily anymore. It might be a coincidence
but this is not the first time that this is happening to me. Does
anyone knows if there is a policy that explains this. Something
like: I have downloaded lot of data and uploaded just a few
megabytes then I have little preference in connecting.

No mantter how much you share, or how much you've allowed people to upload, this wont stop you connecting.
    - Do you have the latest Morpheus 4.6.1?
    - What OS do you have
    - What network(s) are not connecting (E.G. Gnutella, NEO Network, eDonkey, FastTrack)

    I am using morpheus 4.6.1.
I am connecting only: GNUtella and NEOnet.
When I search files I get no results for the same queries that I used to get a lot of results.
It keeps saying "Connecting..." on the status bar without success.
Like I said the only thing I have done was to download a lot of stuff. Much more than what was uploaded from me. But this was not because I constrained uploads, but just because I was not requested.

    anybody has any clue?

    thank you.

One thing, FastTrack will not connect.
In configuration, make sure "G2" is off, this can cause poor performance and poor search results too (If performane is fine then no need to turn this off, but its worth a try)
If you're running out of memory or bandwidth it's recommended you turn G2 off.

    - Are you firewalled?
    - Do you have a router
    - What OS do you have

If you are firewalled or are using a router: http://start.morpheus.com/m4600/firewall_howto.asp

You can join chat too and seek help from peers, or me myself by clicking the "CHAT" tab in your Morpheus client too.

I'm getting exactly the same problem here.

    eDonkey shows as connected
The other 3 P2P protocols continually just show 'Connecting' Search results generate hits for eDonkey only, and even though I can select eDonkey files they will NOT download.

    Morpheus 4.6.1 Ultra
Windows XP SP2 (firewall opened for Morpheus)

Cannot even connect to morpheus chat, since the chat utility simply shows '0 connections'

And of course, their 'Help' page and FAQ are a joke.

A complete and utter waste of time and money so far.

Ok, best thing is, turn eDonkey off and make sure G2 is off too.
Library Tab > Configure Sharing > "Net" > Uncheck eDonkey // Make sure G2 & FastTrack are unchecked too

Reboot your computer, OR reboot Morpheus.
As for the chat, we've been having problems with the servers lately, this is sorted now.
you can get help from the "peers" or get help from me myself if im there.

I really love your wise comments, if you couldn't help them why did you even bother replying to this thread.

i think Xolox can do better since they're both connected to NeoNetwork and other P2P networks, Xolox doesn't have adwares.

    Morpheus Not Connecting

    Hi All,

I had the trouble of not being able to connect to Morpheus for about 3 weeks and tried everything in these threads to no avail. I then read a thread from CrackerJacker....which i found odd as it had no input to the problem at hand...

I then decided to try and use him to my advantage. I download "Ares" to see if it would activate any ports on my router/firewall etc....it appeared to do the trick...

    http://www.aresgalaxy.org/

Downloaded the Regulard veresion...made sure it connected, then opened morpheus and left for about 5-10 mins.....it connected brilliantly....

    Regards to all....
