i have a gateway pc and a none gateway pc and i was wondering if i can use the gateway install cds on my other pc. :playboy

/me runs out and tries my HP install discs on all my salvageable puters...
17 USC § 1008 Prohibition on certain infringement actions:
No action may be brought under this title alleging infringement of copyright based on the noncommercial use by a consumer for making digital musical or analog musical recordings.
they usually don't work. I've tried to use software from a gateway and an HP and it looks for the serial or some other identifying information. It will say "this is not a "manufacturer" computer."
but, there's no harm in trying.
