    E Donkey Servers

Is is possible to choose what server from the list I want to connect to, how does it chose?

When I'm connected to a server I can only download from other folks connected to it right? I believe this, so I want a server with the most users, but e donkey just connects any old how, no matter how I arrange the list.

You connect to any server and if no results come , put extended search and hold down the ENTER button on your keyboard and you see somethind flashing. This means that you are searching all the servers.

    Um

My question was about connectting to servers, and where it downloads. Not searching. I use shareReactor.

Get eDonkey Bot Lite. It can let you set a restriction over which servers you connect to. ex. servers with more than 200 users, etc...

You have to update your server list daily.

    Thanks

Grewat, I want some results so I'll try eDonkeybot first as Golden recommends. And if I want to learn more I'll try that link that Pogue posted.

I know about updating the server, I use ED2K.

Am I right about d/l. i.e. Only from people connected to the same server?

No, it downloads from people wherever they are, but it's good to have big servers on the list so they can "give you" others servers to look at.
Anyway, try Jigle (jigle.com), it shows what server has the most users to a file you want.
