Ok im just going out on a rant but it seems that everyone acts like smoking is such a big deal if nonsmokers dont smoke why do they care about smokers i bought a pack of ciggerete s today and it had a fucking anti smoking ad on it im confused. Last time i checked its not a crime so leave us smokers alone. You could cross the street and die have a heart attack, shit you could spontaniously combust and those things have nothing to do with smoking. Besides people that do smoke know its bad but from my prespective i just dont care. If it is so bad why doesent the government ban smoking and solve the problem.

Dude, it's the responsibility of Cigarette companies to warn smokers of what cigarettes can do to you. That's why those ads are there. Personaly, I don't care if you smoke or not, just don't smoke around me because I do not want your second hand smoke. You're free to kill yourself with cigarettes all you want, but harming me is out of the question.
oh yeah...the government won't completely ban smoking because they make too much money off of the cigarette companies. although they are banning smoking in most public places all over the world.

I'm a non smoker and I allow others to smoke around me. I think of it this way, free smoke with no work to hold the Cigarette in my mouth. My teeth are kept cleaner if I not the one who smoke.
The reson why they don't ban Cigarette is because of all the companies that makes Cigarette. All of these stupid companies don't care about anyone exept themself and people should demain safter Cigarette or get ride of them.

I say smoke if you want to. Just be curteous around those who don't. I smoke. I have no problem with putting out my cigarette if someone has a problem with it...if they are polite about it. If they demand that I do it, I'll make sure I blow it in their face every chance I get.

haha...they're already almost $10 a pack in Canada, right now. I know our dollar ain't worth shit, but still, I'm glad I don't smoke. Even at just $9 a pack, that's $3285.00 a year at a pack a day. I know more than half of that is tax here in Canada. I would have to believe that much in tax revenue would be enough to pay for their morphine when they get cancer. No?

i agree with you Digital Bliss smoking is only one thing that can kill you so will drinking eating fatty foods breathing the air in some citys going out after dark in my neighborhhod and a thousand other things sure banning smoke would sove the problem but as i said there are a thousand and one things that can kill you so what to do ban everything that is bad everyone has their preferences when it comes to smoking as they do to everything so the debate shall continue
Smoking is a dirty disgusting habbit, I know as im a smoker, and it sucks. If you smoke dont subject others to the crap you exhale. My wife has asthma, and she had it when i met her. I dont smoke around her, and when we were allowed to smoke in the restaurants , i still didnt want to subject others to my dirty habbit. Just take the shit out doors, and dont make others inhale what is killing you. I need to make other changes in my life, but at least I admit that it is a problem, and am trying to avoid hurting others. Although killing yourself may hurt the ones you love. Think about it.

I hope they go up to $10 a pack, so I have a really good reason to quit. The health reasons aren't enough. When it comes to money, thats when I break down. I am the most Unjewish Jewish person I know. That's pretty bad...considering my Jewish girlfriend, soon to be fiance, was brought up to be a penny pincher and I save more money than she does.

From an economic viewpoint, nonsmokers should encourage others to smoke. It means nonsmokers pay less in taxes (smokers pick up the slack) and, because smokers in general tend to die eariler, it means less money is spent on them in the form of social security.
My personal opinion is that if you want to kill yourself, be my guest. Seriously, I don't get why people are so concerned with controlling other people's activities - as long as it really doesn't affect me in any major way, I could not care less. However, don't come back and demand all this money because you didn't know smoking could hurt you - because then you are bothering me.
And, just out of curiousity, why don't you care about the health risks, the massive amount of money it costs, etc., about smoking?
I care about the obvious health risks, and i honestly am having big problems quitting. Also that is one of the reasons i push for others not to start. It is not that easy to quit, although some seem to have no problem, most have a large problem stopping.
