I deleted a post(which causes the entire thread to go) I made last night about some .rm files of an animated show that wouldn't play.
Turns out that I hadn't noticed that the extension was .ram and therefore had to be changed to .rm to work.(Thanks to some ancient Krell scolls I had read I figured it out eventually)
Now my question is how or why is a .ram(not .rm) file created or distributed?Something with bots or what?

.ram is a streaming file, if looked at through a text editor this is all a .ram is

#Now routing through SMIL file for Logo and Link to Website

the .ram is merely a link to content somewhere else, as a .rm is a whole file on your own computer

I am so sorry to be a retard,but my Father is in the hospital.I think I am missing some kind of key component to make me understand this.I'm sure it must make sense,but I am just stupid right now.It's just a PM away.If someone can give me a mental booster shot to explain it I would be appreciative.

The changing the file extension from . ram to .rm is hanging me up.Beyond weird is I got a .ram file to play.At the same time some of the .rm files I got from the same source won't play.
It's way to weird to be something anyone can figure out unless they have seen this exact same thing before I guess.
