If I'm using ABC or Azureus or BitComet and yet downloading the same torrent with let's say, 100 seeders and 1000 leechers...would the speed I get differ at all between the clients or does it not make a difference since the speed I would get is dependant upon the amount of users involved in the current seed itself?
And so therefore the different clients are simply there for alternate user interfaces and options but not the enhance download speed.
Thanks.
i know that i use burst or bittornado and have good speeds, but when i tried torrenttopia the speeds were alot slower
Client shouldnt really matter. just don't get Shareaza for Torrents. Use ABC or Azureus, what I recommend.
Torrentopia was pretty fast for me, I use bitspirit. If you can't limit your upload, dont use that client because it will go all the way to the highest upload speed and pull down your download.

TorrenTopia has been good to me!.....Have gotten speeds up to 380 KB
I don't know. It seems like every time I try a new client, it's real fast for a while. Then it slows down. Maybe BT as a whole is going down the drain.
I use ABC (Another Bitorrent Client) and i get great speeds. the websites i use to download the torrents from are 1)spanish website http://www.torrentazos.com/ 2) http://www.suprnova.org/ 3) http://www.lokitorrent.com/ ..
Torrentopia is good for beginning users who don't know how to use bitorrent, and when i was using it It was giving me great speeds like 160kbs minimum per a file.
I would say anything non-Java based. I know many people endorse Azureus for their life, but it doesnt update itself in real time, and I've just had a very dissatisfying experience in the past with it.
I personally use ABC, never had any problems with it, and on good torrents (specifically from TorrentBits) I've gotten up to my max (630 KBps).
Good luck, welcome to ZeroPaid.
