Question The best way to hook up PC to stereo

I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong place.

I've been looking at several things to link my PC and my stereo so I can listen to my MP3s on the stereo. I wanted to know what would ZP members recommend?

If you happen to have an audio card with two RCA parts on it then this would be the best method I know about. High quility path cables between the RCA on the sound card and your aux or line in on your stereo. If all you have is a 1/8" stereo jacks only then you would need and 1/8' stereo male plug to RCA female then a path cable. The closer the better. I have my stereo hook up to my stereo with a 1/8" extention cable to a 1/8" male to RCA female cable to my Panasonic Stereo though the AUX and I didn't speand much on the cables, I think I spent about $3 CAD and it sounds great to me.

People standin on top of the white house, there's people standin up on capital hill...
They stand up there, sound like they know something...
They all still wake up in the morning, drink a cup of coffee and take a shit, they aint better than I am.
And they dance around a problem... say this... talk about the eco-nomic imp-li-cations...

But their grandfather, great great grandfather, was just like my great great grandfather, just a bunch of monkeys swingin up in trees shittin in the woods.

I'm currently using (in additon to the the regular speakers and sub-woofer) a Sony W.A.T (Wireless Audio Transfer) transmitter to send the data to the receiver unit about 10 feet away. I use it for the rear channels for games like Doom3, NWN, etc... I have a Y-cable coming out of the rear-out jack on the comp which splits in to R/L RCA outs which connect to the back of the transmitter, Setup works pretty well. I can also relocate the transmitter around the house to pick up other connections, such as the digital MusicChoice channels.

The easiest way is to have a nice sound card like an audigy.

Next you buy a nice audio reciever with a nice audio decoder built in, and good speakers.

Buy a line in to RCA 2Channel cord shapped like a Y.

on the bottm of the Y will be a plugin that looks like a headphone hookin.
on the top will be RED and WHITE RCA hookups just like for your TV.

Hook up your two RCA cords to DVD/LD as you will achive the loudest sound through this plugin on most audio recievers and hook in the other headphone looking plugin to line out.

If you have a good audio reciever you will really notice a minimal differnce on weather you hooked it up 2channel or not as the decoder on board will distribute the audio nicely and if not to your specifications you can adjust it even further from there on each speaker/subwoofer.
