    Anyone seen the Grudge ?

Has anyone here at Zeropaid seen the Horror Movie , The Grudge starring Sarah Michelle Gellar ? This is another English remake of a Japanese Horror movie , like the Ring was . Based on what I have seen from the Ring and The Grudge , the Japanese are the true masters of horror and the rest of us from Canada, United States and Europe are second best
I thought I had seen some scary movies before but none like this . Holy Shit, what a scary show . Scariest movie ever !!!! What do other people think ? :blah

The Grudge (US) is a decent amlagamation of elements from Ju-on The Grudge-1, Ju-on The Grudge-2, and the original Japanese television movies.. It combines a couple of characters from the original, thereby diminishing some of the confusing time line-jumping elements, but also offers a reason for why the original murders were commited (which as you know starts the whole curse).

You'll hear a lot of (most) fans of the original put down the US remake. However, it's got the same Japanese director, is set in Japan, and can really be looked at as just another angle of viewing the events. It also stears clear of trying to offer the typical Hollywood ending to a horror movie. All in all it's very similar to the original and many shots are copied exactly, frame for frame.

the grudge was too jumpy in the time line but at times was decent and scarey.

The Grudge was good cause of the special effects.
The Grudge = Ju-On: The Grudge

It was good compared to The Ring = Ringu

Still no, but I recommend that everyone goes out and sees The Incredibles 566 times. Apiece.

I saw Ju On but not the US version yet... the Japanese version sure was creepy, but I had a hard time keeping some characters and the timeline straight. Have to watch it again...

Yup, I seen it! It was not very good. Guess maybe I'm the type that exspects alot out of a horror movie. I think that it was a basic ghost story type thing! I can tell by the ending that there will be a part 2.

that movie was awful. the scary moments were dreadfully predictable, and the only time i actually became scared was when some asshole banged on the exit door from outside for $hits and giggles. the plot drops off like a cliff at the end, and i refuse to see the sequel if there is one. Sad thing is, i really thought the movie had potential...
