    Digitally challanged

:bk Yes, I'm back with a whole new set of questions:
Numero Uno: I was happily downloading with my winmx 2.6 when suddenly, today, in the Servers window, I watched it try to log on and I watched it log off. Then it said "Stopped". This has been happening all day today. Clues?

Also, someone misunderstood my question about downloading files to a certain folder. I am getting the files on my D drive but I can't find out how to switch it to the C drive. I had set it up originally to do that and now I want to change it. I know about sharing and unsharing folders, I just need to get the music to go where I want it to go without having to do it manually. Mainly the problem is that the incomplete downloads don't come out as incomplete when I switch folders.
    Whew! Nuf said.

Get version 3.3 of WinMX. For WinMX to be at its best, all WinMX users should use the latest version(as they are each on their own, DIFFERENT, network).

When in your window to add folders, remove all your folders on Drive D except for 1. Then go to your C drive and add the folder(s) you want. Then go and deselect your D drive folder.

........Ladies & Gentlemen, thanks a million for your input. I really do appreciate it and will apply it.

I forgot to mention that my OS is Win95........hence, I cannot use the new Winmx version. I've got version 2.6 and I'm sticking to Win95 as we've got most of the bugs erradicated and it's stable, baby, stable.

If there's a better version of Winmx that's still supported by Win 95, could someone kindly tell me where I can download it?

    Blessings upon thee. Twiddles:green6

    Thumbs down Upgrade Time

:devil Yikes Win 95?? You need to upgrade your O.S. I know you said you liked the stability but I would seriously consider at least updating to 98SE or, if your PC can handle it, XP. I would stay away from ME as it crashes a lot. 98 crashes frequently also but not as much as ME.

(hilly billy accent needed: I caint do thayut!

I can't upgrade at this time. Maybe not even in this life-time. I have Windows 95 and it's actually one of the BEST OS you can use (now that we've kicked out the bugs). No joke.

I ain't takin' kindly to learnin no new fangled, high falutin' OS. But I HAVE to have music and my Winmx 2.6 keeps reporting that it's not logging in. Then it says "stopped". I'm guessing that I need to use Gatormx or some such to get more servers.
In other words: I haven't got a clue. HEEEELLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!

Read some of the other posts here, it looks like the 2.6 network has been turned off.
