I have problems using P2P networks because the university filters programs such as bittorrent or kazaa by blocking ports. Is there any way at all to bypass those firewalls and to access those networks?
I am especially interested by using bittorrent. If there is any method or software that could help please tell me.
Also, if there is a little not very developped network which is recent and therefore would not be filtered please let me know.
Thanks everybody!
Try tunneling software like AnonX or your-freedom.net.Originally Posted by Fenix
www.peer2mail.com would surely work, it uses those 1GB mail accounts to share. Surely email wil not be blocked... Or you could try anonymous ANTs P2P, maybe it's not filtered. I'm sure there's more, try checking slyck.com app list e.g.Also, if there is a little not very developped network which is recent and therefore would not be filtered please let me know.

When I was at my Univ the only software that would work well (or was unblocked) was soulseek. Also check out FTP stuff...i've never figured it out, but i've heard that some other dormies had good luck with it.
Also should be mentioned: lan2p, so you guys can share with each other on the univ. network for awesome awesome speeds.
Thx a lot eivioolla, I'll try this.
Hor the FTP servers, I dont know how to access any although I have plenty of bandwith. Anyone knows where I could start searching?
