My ISP capped me because I upload too much

My isp is optimum online, and their policy is if you upload for a long period of time they will reduce your upload speed. They did this to me twice and I heard there is also a 4 stikes and your out policy. I heard the is a bit torrent client that can be set to run for a set amount of time then stop then sart again. Does anyone know if this is true, if so can you tell me where to get it.

    Thank You

I do know that G3 Torrent gives you tons of options on what you want to do when your file is completed. You can upload for a specified time period, or till you achive a 1:1 ratio, and you can cap your upload speed at a specified rate. Look for G3 on sourceforge.net

What's the point really? What you are saying is that either your ISP is going to lessen your upload speed.....or YOU are going to lessen you uploads.

Either you can limit your uploads with Netlimiter.....or you can let your ISP limit your uploads.

I'd get another ISP if I were you.....

That's one crappy ISP for a broadband ISP! Tell them, you are using it for your business to keep both the company's & yours batabase in sync at all times so you can be on-call with client anytime or you will take your ISP account else where!
