Newbi needs help please.

OK guys I need help. WinMX 2.6 has stopped working and I am confuse with the way 3.2 and 3.3 has been working.

First, why is my modem going nuts before I even do a search? It jumps all over the place from 1.3 to 171kb a sec inbound and outbound. Why all the activity?

2nd How do I find server info to enter into the program.

3rd is there any newbi freindly sites to get me going?

It's nothing that you've done wrong. Lots of people (all of us?), have found that since 3.3 was released, 2.6 wouldn't work. Time to upgrade or you could try something else.

I couldnt get win mx working till I turned my firewall on that not a typo I had to run it through a firewall before it would work-- zonealarm-- I think cause zone alarm atomatically maps the route for you it helps set it up--- That fow win 2000 anyway--Well maybe it will help
