Windows 2003 I missin summat here??
You'll have less problems with XP. XP was made for the home user and most if not all Windows programs are compatible with it. I believe some programs do not work with 2k3.
Ezza - Windows 2003 is for business, and is labled as "Windows 2003 Server"
My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):
ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer
Also sporting a black MacBook
Revision/Release 1
Upgraded to 2GB RAM.
Argh right cheers Hawkburn didnt know that :)
unless you're managing thousands of users and computers in your home, windows xp would be the best for you.

windows ME would be a more sensible choice.

I had WIndows ME and It crashed soooooooooo many times The Blue screen of death. So many times the screen went black and got message to hit control alt and delete to restart and nothin happened. I was glad when I upgraded to Windows XP SP1. Wont try SP2 til they get all the bugs out of it. Even HP tech support guy told me to hold off for now, My best advice is to go to XP.Originally Posted by grab_grab_the_haddock

bah, linux all the way - just because it requires massive amounts of knowledge just to do simple stuff doesn't mean anything ;)
but seriously, if you don't like to think about what your computer is doing (or you're really lazy), go xp. however, if you're interested in how it works and learning more, go linux :D
WinXP, given the two choices. Linux/Apple if given anything more choices. CPU!! Where have you beeeeeeen? d00d. we were talking about you yesterday.!
