Almost not. I believe at one point there was a emule modification to disable upload, but it got banned from the emule forums, or something along those lines. If it's a picture or something, you could probably remove it from your library fast enough not to share it, but for movies, it's pretty much impossible NOT to share.
My current setup stats (like anyone cares...):
ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard
AMD 4400+ Dual-Core CPU
Windows Vista (Ultimate 32bit)
2 GB (2x1GB) Corsair XMS RAM
2x250 GB (in RAID 0) HDDs
EVGA GeForce 7950 GTX 512 MB
Creative X-FI Fatal1ty XtremeGamer
Also sporting a black MacBook
Revision/Release 1
Upgraded to 2GB RAM.
I highly doubt you'd get in much trouble, as far as I know, lithuania isn't a prime target for sueing yet, plus emule relies on that people shares, the more you upload, the more credits you have.Originally Posted by Modestas
Try a program called NetLimiter.
I use this when downloading certain files. It will stop uploads, but I don't think it will stop them from knowing you have either partial files or the full file. I'm pretty sure your IP address still would show up as an uploader.
With emule or edonkey...it's pretty useless to use Netlimiter.....doesn't give you anonymity and hinders your download speeds.
CAPITAL punishment for infringement is a CAPITAList's dream.
Don't use any file sharing program if you plan to not upload.
Hard as ever and here to make you people believe...as long as there is one person to hold hope and dream...A GOD...will never die!
Yes....but you have to be smart about what and how much you upload.Originally Posted by Mels_Smileys45

Of course, donīt use eMule.Originally Posted by Modestas
NO. That is the reason I use it and why the donkey network has now the most users. Freeloaders have enough nets where they can leech.Originally Posted by Modestas

@ Napster Fan
Please remove that link. It is a bad idea to link to a mod that can disable uploads.

If you don't upload, then you can't call it file-SHARING, can you?
I hope this mod will be blocked.
