My, my, my...so many contrary opinions of Weed. Well, from an artist perspective it's an easy, fair and simple method for posting music. Artists actually get paid for their hours of labor writing and recording music. Artists can watch their sales in real time and get their $$$ anytime they please. They can post their music on multiple sites, share it via CD, etc, and get paid for every track out there that someone decides they like. Weed has a great community of forward thinking talent. Weed has a larger percentage of excellent tracks available in their system compared to most of the mp3 trub out there.
As far as artists giving it away to get exposure, I'm sure most of them would have preferred getting paid at the same time. With Weed, listeners can hear the song in it's entirety 3 times and then choose to buy it or chuck it. Sounds fair for everyone....
If you're only interested in finding FREE music that you've already heard on the radio 100 times but are too CHEAP to pay for....by all means, don't try Weed. If however you're interested in spending some enjoyable time finding and supporting great indie stuff, then don't let the naysayers discourage you. There are MANY, MANY, MANY talented indie artists out there that are as good or better than what get's shoved down your throats on radio and through other marketing. Weed has more than their share of these great artists and tunes.
Oh yeah, BTW, Weed's working on plans for those poor souls still afraid of Windows....
Come on over to the Weed side.....we won't bite.
Peace!

Radio exposure INCREASES sales. As for your constant sell, your nothing but spam.Originally Posted by vapor

"Artists" don't have any right to demand money for their recordings. A life of poverty is the price you pay for doing something you love, exploring your creative talents and banging van loads of hot chicks. Charlie Parker, Beethoven and Mozart died penniless, so can the current crop of talentless dickwads.
