Question N00B: How to play bitt torent files after i downloaded.

    hi, i downloaded aasdfasdfasdfadsf

the files come in the form

    alli-ssme-xvid.001
    alli-ssme-xvid.002
    alli-ssme-xvid.003
    ....
    alli-ssme-xvid.049

i then used HJSPLIT to join the file

    then i get

    alli-ssme-xvid

i then use gsspot22 and it tells me that its a winrar file.

i then rename the file alli-ssme-xvid.rar and try and extract. but winrar asks me for file alli-ssme-xvid.000, but i dont have alli-ssme-xvid.000

    what gives??

the actual bit torrent i downloaded was asdfasdfasdfasdfadfsdf.DVDRip.XViD-ALLiANCE

    thx :aim

Don't post what you downloaded. Edit it to remove it.

You shoudn't rename the file either. Just open the .00 or .01 file and it will extract all of the files.

assuming you didnt delete all the individual files when you joined them, you can extract the files with winrar. as said above, just open the .000 or .001 file with winrar. assuming all the files are in the same folder, it will extract the movie from all 49 or 50 files and act just like a regular rar or zip file. extract to another folder, and your done.

PLEASE REMOVE THE NAME OF THE MOVIE FROM YOUR ORIGINAL POST!!!!

Just extract any of them and they'll join up, use any program capable of opening rar files. There are hundreds of posts like this. Don't people read the forums before posting to see if their question is already answered.
