Sitting open at the main window, "new" cd compilation, it uses 12MB of ram. Nero uses 65MB of hard drive space because it included helper utilties, such as a Cover Designer (pretty cool) and a WAV editor (eh..)
I'd go for Nero 6, just for XP SP2 support, and because its got a streamlined interface.
