so I got this game off suprnova.org. it had 3 cds that I just did images of with daemon. I did the install and everything went fine. Then when I went to play the game it said, "please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application". when I clearly have mounted the image of the first disc. any help?
All, well most of all, pirated games you must first copy over the no-cd crack. Usually this is found in the Crack directory of the first cd. If it's not there, you can find it at GameCopyWorld.
Hope this doesn't violate any rules, mods tell me if it does.

when a CD is ripped to a file, some information - specifically non-replicable information - is lost. Many games have protection that takes advantage of this. Just about every game that has this protection has been cracked, though. Try looking for a NoCD crack for the game. if you don't know where to start, try the 'game fixes' over at megagames.com (not sure if posting that site is against rules or not... sorry in advance if it is, Mods)
edit: apparently, hawkburn and I are thinking very much alike...
of course there are games that are still too tough to crack... i think the name of the assy protection is star force?
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
