OK, I'm hoping someone can help me with a slight annoyance I have. I'm using XP. When I start up the comp. in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen the language bar loads every boot up. I'd like to disable this feature so it doesn't load. I'm sure there's a registry setting I can change. I've breezed through the registry but can't find the option anywhere. I've probably just missed it. Anyone know where to find it and disable it. Thanks :tilted
Right-click on Language Bar > Settings > Un-check 'Show Language Bar on Desktop'.
Found the option in the settings. Changed it. Rebooted to test. It worked. That was easy. I should've done more checking before posting. I expected it to be more complicated than that. I feel a little stupid now. Thanks nasrules :gj
actually, to completely remove the ctfmon.exe from startup you need to turn off advanced text services within the language bar settings.
