Burning Movies

i downloaded a full movie (717mb) and when i try to burn it to a dvd (4.7gb)it says it is 2000mb to big.
im using a dvd brought to use in a in home dvd recorder could this be the problemand what other burning software can i use to burn thr films i all ready have nero and my dvd.

You sure you have a dvd burner? Make sure that the software you are using is set up to read the dvd burner drive and not the cdrom.
