Try overnet. It hogs less resources in my opinion and is actually easier to move. And why not use emule it is the better program.

If you are looking for a joint program that has good edonkey support i reccomend this program
www.nongnu.org/mldonkey/
I could never get mldonkey to work. If your know how, why not post a tutorial/FAQ
mldonkey is one of the hardest programs to get to work on Windows, in my experiences with it. I'd stay away from it until you make the leap to linux. It was easy on Mandrake once I used that, but Windows and mld dont seem to get along. Overnet uses about the same resource usage.Originally Posted by F0wler
I would still stay with ed2k, I always get my files faster than with emule. Plus it connects to Overnet by default, as well.

eDonkey1.0 was designed for their own servers and could perform better with 56K modem. eMule will give you thousand queues when you start the program.
