    port fowarding

I have a linksys router and when i tried to forward the ports that Bitcomet use, I couldnt put the whole name into the application box. I wrote Bitcome, Bitcmet, etc etc. Still very slow downloads on more of the seeds. Does anyone know the correct abbreviatiaton or is this linskys router a pos?

I don't think the name of the app matters so much as the port when entering in the values to forward ports. I have a Belkin and use different abbreviations for the same program all the time. I think you can put anything you want in the box for the app name, just don't get the port wrong. Then again, I don't use BitTorrent clients, but still don't think the name matters for the values.

    hmm

Do you also have a software firewall? Be sure you have you BT client as some sort of "trusted" app, or give it "server rights" or whatever your firewall likes to call incoming connections.

If you have Windows XP SP2, be sure to get that 4226 patch.
