Port forwarding D-Link DSL-500T, please help!

    Hi,
I am sorry for this, but i have really looked everywhere but i couldn't find any help as to how change port forwarding for my DSL-500 T. D-Link USA doesn't support european version. So, i don't know how to do it.

The port forwarding screen has the following fields..
    RuleName
    Protocol
    Port Start
    Port End
    Port Map

Rulename is of course anything, and i set the protocol to TCP, and port start and End to 16881.
Now, I face a small porblem with port map. What am i supposed to put here? I tried my IP address (192.168.1.2), but it asks me to enter an integer. So, what is the integer it is looking for?
    How can i insert it?

Thank you very much in advance for all the help

start and end ports set the port range that you are mapping.
port map is the port to map to on the internal machine, so just give it the same number as your start port number

By the way the default bittorrent port is 6881 so unless you changed your bt application to use 16881 you are mapping the wrong port.

Also if you are using the standard bittorrent client (bittornado, etc. are different) each open client will use a different port number starting at 6881. If you only have one client running at a time then 6881 will be enough. If you run more than one client you will need additional ports above 6881, one for each client. (for example if you have multiple client windows open to handle a number of different files simultaneously)

Hi, I was having the same problem, then i realised when copy pasting, I noticed I'd accidentally copy pasted a space as well.
Go back to the text field and make sure you haven't done the same thing. Hope this helps.

edit: eck, sorry. i only just realised this was a necro post.
