If anyone knows of a quicker way to get my pc back up...PLEASE HELP ME!!
Thanx in advanced !!!!!!
BTW: I get the infamous blue screen and windows won't start.
I've rebooted the pc with the XP cd in the drive and ....nothing happened.
I cannot go to safe mode, let alone windows starting normally.
You may try reformating the hard drive and then reinstalling xp. if this does not work, i will be back to check, and give sommore advice.

One thing you may want to try is inserting your XP Reinstallation CD and once it boots up there should be an option to repair the current OS installation. Another thing that you may have to do is boot into the safe mode on your XP Machine and install the patch that was in the Microsoft article(SP2) which I do not recommend. Just install all of the regular patches up to SP2. But if you run the repair option from the reinstallation cd that should fix the issue. Try that and see if it works. Let us know.
